All of the work done for this project by the Vocational Service Committee of the Atascadero Rotary Club is done by volunteers without compensation. We do, however, run programs like Career Day, and we help pay the cost of screening mentors who volunteer with the school district. If you would like to sponsor our programs, or the screening costs of mentors, we would love it! You can do so with a contribution to the Atascadero Rotary Club, through which we pay those costs. Donors of $100 or more will be listed as Sponsors on our website, unless you prefer to remain anonymous (click here). You are also welcome to donate or bequeath to our Atascadero Rotary Club Foundation, which provides yearly scholarships (both academic and vocational) to local high school students.
Although we cannot directly provide mentors for our youth, the Atascadero Unified School District (AUSD) has a volunteer program through which you can mentor students, or offer Job Shadowing. We would be happy to meet with you, explain and complete the AUSD Volunteer Forms, and schedule the associated background screening in consultation with you.
